But there it is again: Major Network Outage. Since they were busy all Sunday recouping from some automatic updates that hosed up their Debian installs, this ought to drive the techs insane.
More as it develops, assuming anything develops.
Update: They apparently got DDOSed.
“Major Network Outage” at the host is keeping the main site pretty much inaccessible for the moment. How long this will last is anybody’s guess.
Update, two hours later: We seem to be back. Repeat: “seem.”
If you can’t get to the Main Site this morning, this is why. So far as I can tell, it has nothing to do with that end-of-the-world crap.
Well, I’m not sure it’s really ginormous, but they’re calling it “major,” which suggests something quite a bit worse than “trivial.”
I’ve had no connectivity issues yet, but you never know with these things.
Update: They’ve decided that this is some obscure form of attack, and they’re working to head it off.
Yeah, that again. Something that wasn’t supposed to affect network service actually, you know, did affect network service.
Things should improve as the day shift starts filtering in.
